A Chemical Engineer from Georgia Tech, James worked with consulting engineers on specifications for HDPE pipe where appropriate. James' experience with polymers and polymer additives is useful in the water and waste water industries where new materials are being introduced every day. At Vellano Technologies, James is the AMR AMI Sales Engineer for Eastern New York and Western New England. His responsibilities include working with consulting engineers on proper meter specification, demonstrating meter performance to water systems operators, and proving the financial benefits to financial managers. With the decreasing cost of electronic components AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) and AMI (Automatic Metering Infrastructure) systems show shorter payback times. The data management characteristics of AMR AMI systems make them true water management tools; far more useful than metering and billing instruments of the past.
